19 May 2014, Lecture: Irène Djao-Rakitine, Sciences and emotions in landscape architecture
Irène Djao-Rakitine, Head of the London office of Vogt Landscape, discusses their work and how the specificities of a site, at both a local and global scale, are revealed to create a unique and durable environment. She will introduce us to their design process, from territory mapping to 1/1 mock-up making, and their search for being as close as possible to reality, balancing scientific datas collection and sensitive perception.
The talk will be illustrated by various projects developed in Europe and the Middle East (Athletes Village in London, Vejle Island in Denmark, Tate Modern in London, Al Shaqab Hotel and Training Track in Doha, etc.)
When: 19 May
